专家简介：
原元，男，加州州立大学San Marcos分校文学与写作系教授，山东大学校聘客座教授，早年就读于山东大学外文系（1977-1981）、山东大学美国现代文学研究所（1981-1984）、威斯康辛大学密尔沃基分校（University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee），1992年获得博士学位。主要研究方向为: Modernism and Postmodernism; Cultural Studies; Critical Theories; 20th Century Comparative Literature; Postcolonial Discourse; American Literature; Multicultural Literature; East and West Comparative Studies.
历任加州州立大学San Marcos分校文学与写作系主任、研究生教育主任、学术委员会委员。现任MELUS、Journal of the Association for the Interdisciplinary Study of the Arts, LIT: Literature, Interpretation, Theory等多家学术期刊的评审专家。曾入选20世纪全球卓越学者（2000 Outstanding Scholars of the 20th Century），获得全美优秀教授提名（1996-1997）。
